The beautiful Nagar Valley is previously known as Broshal valley located in Nagar District of Gilgit Baltistan. The valley is about 15 kilometers from Hunza Valley and 105 kilometers from Gilgit. Hunza and Nagar are sister valleys separated by the Hunza River which marks the border between the two valleys. Ghulmet, Minapin, Chaprote and Hopar Valleys are popular tourist attractions because of the amazing scenery and surrounded by the high mountain peaks including Rakaposhi, Diran Peak, Golden Peak, and Rush Peak and many others. The valley is also known for its delicious fruits, beautiful landmark monuments, and also for its changing colors in different seasons. Although the valley is spread in a vast region and is situated at an elevation of 2,438 m.

Hopar Valley and Glaciers

Hopar Valley is a part of Nagar Valley and one of the most beautiful places in Nagar. Hopar valley and Glacier are big attractions for the tourists who are visiting the Nagar valley. It is nearly 10 KM from Nagar Khas, the principal city of Nagar Valley. A land of a lush green plain surrounded by snow-clad mountains. The glacier is also very picturesquely solid snow mixed with mud that can be seen till miles. Hopar glacier also known as Bualtar Glacier is supposed to be the fastest moving glacier in the world. Hopper glacier lies below the Hopar village is known to be the only populated place in the world which lies above a glacier.

The surrounding view of this route is outstanding, on one side is the beautiful villages of Nagar and on the other side is snow-covered mountains that make an amazing impact. It is an amazing place to visit.

Rakaposhi Mountain

Rakaposhi mountains are one of the famous and very beautiful mountains in Pakistan. It is situated in the middle of Nagar Valley in Nagar District. It is 7,788 m high mountain. Rakaposhi means “snow-covered” in the local language and is also known as Dumani “Mother of Clouds”. It is ranked 27th highest in the world and 12th highest in Pakistan. But it is most popularly known for its beauty than its rank. You can see the Rakaposhi peak mountain whenever you stay at Nagar and Hunza. It is the best tourist attraction of Nagar valley with the stunning view of the water stream coming from a glacier of the Rakaposhi Mountain & falling into Gilgit river. Gold & Silver shades of majestic mountains that are covered with snow make you feel very good.

Beautiful Rakaposhi peak that is covered with snow, shining with sunlight is a breathtaking view. There is a small cafe that serves hot herbal teas, you can sit along the stream and enjoy the eye-catching view that feels like heaven on earth. Rush Lake

Pakistan,s high altitude Rush lake located in District Nagar of Gilgit-Baltistan. It is an altitude of 4694 m. Rush lake is one of the highest alpine lakes in the world. The Rush Lake trek provides stunning views high peaks such as Rush Pari Peak (5098m), Miar Peak (6824m), Golden/Spantik (7027m), Ultra Peak (7388m), and Malubiting Peak (7458m). It mesmerized you due to surrounding of high altitudes with icy peaks. During this trek, you will cross glaciers, terraced fields, high meadows, and also experience the remarkable view of the Hunza and Nagar valley from Rush Lake. In winter rush lake water freeze. The lake also remains covered with snow for 9 months and only 3 months its water shines. Rush lake trek is also a favourite for landscape photographers.
