1.Minar-e-Pakistan

Minare Pakistan “The Tower of Pakistan” a very beautiful and attractive place to visit. A public monument located in Greater Iqbal Park. Minar e Pakistan was build in between 1960 to 1968 in the memory of resolution passed in 1940 at the same place by All India Muslim Leauge. Its height is 70 meters above the ground and 324 stairs to go to the top beside a lift. Its a beautiful combination of modern and Mughal architecture was designed by Nasreddin Murat khan (a Russian born Pakistani) architect. A memorable place to visit in Lahore.

1.Badshahi Mosque

Badshahi Mosque also called the Emperor Mosque was build in the era of Mughal Emperor. It is one of the largest mosques around the world and can accommodate over 100,000 worshipers. It has a very unique design that will surprise and mesmerize you. If you want to see an architectural structure this is best for you and will take you back in history. It is located in the west of Lahore Fort (Shahi Qila) and can be seen from miles away.

3.Lahore Fort

Lahore fort is famous with the name of  “Shahi Qila”, one of the favorite tourist places located and is part of  Greater Iqbal Park. It is the world heritage site from UNESCO. When you see it you will mesmerize by its design. Its a demonstration of art that connects us with Mughal history. It has been divided into various monuments that represent the architect of Mughal kings. I also visited Lahore fort and love the architecture that makes you feel like living in the era of kings. The stairs, courtyard, old bricks every part of the fort are amazed, it’s a famous tourist attraction for everyone.

5.Data Ali Hajveri shrine

Lahore is a land of saints and shrines. There are many shrines but the Data Ali Hajvery shrine is very famous above all. It is immersed in Sufi tradition and over the centuries has attracted visitors. People traveled specifically to visit the shrine from Pakistan and all over the world. About 40,000 to 50,000 visitors daily visit the shrine of Hazrat Ali Hajveri widely known as “Data Ganj Bakhsh”. Ali Hajvery was the great saint of that region and is today one of the most famous Sufi saints in Pakistan.it  is located west of Bhatti Gate, just outside the Old City.

6.Lahore Museum

Lahore museum a beautiful red brick building represents the best Mughals architecture. It was founded in 1865 at a smaller location and opened in 1894 at its current location. It is located on the mall road, and this is one of the most famous museums of south Asia, which has exhibits covering the recorded history of the subcontinent. When you enter the museum to see an implausible mural on the ceilings, a large collection of musical instruments, jewelry, pottery, textiles, armory, and century.

7.Lahore zoo

Lahore zoo is one of the best places to visit in Lahore. It is the only zoo in Lahore. This was established in 1872 and located near Bag e Jinnah which is accessible from Mall road. A very interesting place for families and children includes a wide range of animals, this is also the biggest zoo in the country.

9.Shalimar garden

Shalimar garden is also one of the best tourist places in Lahore. This is the second World Heritage site in Lahore from UNESCO. In 1981 the Shalimar Gardens were declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is a historical garden and gives a fascinating visual appeal to the visitors. The historic Shalimar garden is also part of the Mughal era. Construction of the gardens began in 1641 during the reign of Emperor Shah Jahan, and was completed in 1642. It has an area of 16 hectare (40 Acres Approx).

10.Lahore Wagah border

A trip would not be completed without visiting the Lahore Wagha border. This is a border between India and Pakistan, and it is very fascinating to see the parade and lowering the flags of both sides. Men, women, and childerns from both sides sing patriotic songs of the nations at Wagha border crossing. The Wagah Border ceremony begins an hour before sunset. It would be a very memorable visit to the Lahore Wagah border.
