There are many attractions on Makran Coastal Highway such as Mud Volcano, Kund Malir Beach, Golden Beach, Princess of Hope, The Sphinx, Buzi Pass, Ormara Beach, and Gwadar. So the whole journey would be full of thrill, adventure, and pleasure.

Mud Volcano

Mud volcano is the first attraction on Makran Coastal Highway. It is located about 200 km west of Karachi and 45 km before Kund Malir. Roadside boards also guide you. There are many Mud volcanoes in Balochistan but these three are active and famous. Chandra Gup 1, Chandra Gup 2 and Chandra Gup 3. One of them is more than 250 m high. There are almost 80 mud volcanos in Balochistan province and some are only a few kilometers from each other.

It’s the largest volcano in Pakistan. They are found in Hingol National Park, the biggest park in Pakistan. A large number of Hindu pilgrimage come here to perform their rituals. This is a very sacred place for Hindus. The government has made Stairs for their convenience to go to the top. Pakistan is among the few countries where mud volcanoes exist. Spat Beach is placed half an hour away from here.

Kund Malir Beach

Kund Malir Beach ranked among the 50 most beautiful beaches of Asia, according to ‘The World’s Best Beaches For 2018’ listed by Flight Network. Here you find the sea, the mountains, and the desert together. Its crystal clear water and white sand provide a breathtaking view.

Kund Malir beach is located 240 km from Karachi and about 150 km from Zero-Point on Makran Coastal Highway. Many people come here for a picnic, especially on weekend. This is an extremely beautiful and clean beach.

Kund Malir View Point is a little above Kund Malir Beach. The view from here looks great. It’s a lot of fun to watch the beach. If you go to Gwadar, you must stay here. A comfortable resort has also been built here but many people like camping in the night full of stars. There is also a restaurant. Come and refresh yourself.

Golden Beach

A little further from the Kund Malir comes Golden Beach and it’s even more beautiful than the Kund Malir Beach. It will be difficult for you to decide. Its green-blue water and golden sand make it unique. Golden sand, blue water, Brown Mountain what an amazing combination.

All this brings you very close to nature. Beautiful dolphins are also seen dancing here. Its coast is very clean and not too deep. You can compare it to the most beautiful beaches in the world. If you visit Kund Malir Beach don’t forget to see the Golden Beach and Gadani Beach.

Princess of Hope

After seeing the charm of these places, the structure of the earth changes. Mountains on both sides of the road make the journey more attractive. After 10 minutes the Princess of Hope is waiting for you.

It’s a natural rock formation on the top of the mountain that looks like a queen. Its name princess of hope was given by the Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie when she came here in 2002 as a UN ambassador. According to experts, the statue has emerged as a result of the sea breeze.

The Sphinx

There is another statue next to Princess of Hope which resembles with great sphinx of Egypt. It is a Sphinx of Pakistan also called the lion of Balochistan. The unique construction of statue is a beautiful artwork of nature.

The carved mountains that come along the way are amazing and you think how they have been carved with such skill or are it is a miracle of nature. The silence of this place has many stories hidden inside.

Buzi Pass

Buzi Pass is called the roof of the area, it is the highest point of the Makran Coastal Highway. It is about 300 km from Karachi. From here, the whole area opens up and comes in front of you. The mountain range starting after the Princes of Hope is the Buzi Pass mountain range. Here you can witness the diverse landscape. It’s very different, unique, and beautiful also called a geological wonderland. It has a great resemblance to the Grand Canyon National Park Arizona USA.

Ormara Beach

On the way to Ormara, there are many mud mountains. Ormara Beach is located midway from Karachi to Gwadar. It’s the best place for a stopover for relaxing and exploring this amazing beach. It offers incredible surrounding views of nature. Standing on the beach look at the vast sea, beautiful open sky, and the shining sun, which take you to another world. It’s very calm, peaceful and worth visiting place. Here is a wonderful resort and hotel for your comfortable stay.

Gwadar is about 270 km from Ormara. On the way to Gwadar comes only the Pasni town. It’s very important for fishing after Gwadar.

Gwadar is surrounded by sea on three sides. It is a port city that has the deepest port in the world. It is one of the most beautiful cities in Balochistan and has become a favorite tourist destination due to its attractions. There are many places to visit in Gwadar like Marine Drive, Koh-i-Batil, Hammerhead, Gwadar Cricket Stadium, Shahi Bazar, Sunset View Park, and Pishukan Town.

Gwadar is the fastest-growing city and the eyes of the world are fixed on it. It has become the center of the world’s attention because of CPEC. In the future, it will be a developed city like Dubai or Singapore.
