Pir Chinasi

Pir Chinasi is a picturesque hill station, located 28 km from Muzaffarabad. It is the highest point in Muzaffarabad with an altitude of 2924 meters above sea level. The road from Muzaffarabad to Pir Chinasi is well maintained and a large number of tourists come here. The Arial view of the City and beautiful scenes of surroundings look striking and forces tourists to stop here. The sight areas draped in pine and oak trees present a pleasant environment.

Red Fort Muzaffarabad

Red Fort or Lal Qila is a famous historical site in Muzaffarabad that’s surrounded on three sides by the Neelum River. The fort witnessed the history of 4 centuries. It is said to have been constructed by the Chak rulers in 1549 to counter the invaders. During the Mughal period, the fort lost its significance and its construction stopped, finally it was completed in 1646 by Sultan Muzaffar Khan, the founder of Muzaffarabad city. This fort has been used as a royal guest house for many centuries since the time of Mughal King Akbar. The structure still stands with all its majesty and historical background.

It’s also called Muzaffarabad fort and Ratta Qila fort. Its architecture shows that great experts have taken part in its construction. Earthquake Memorial Bridge Muzaffarabad

Muzaffarabad Bridge is an eye-catching bridge of Muzaffarabad. It was built in memory of people who died in earth quack 2005 so it’s commonly called earthquake Memorial Bridge. It is the highest bridge in Pakistan and has added to the beauty of the city. It gives the most gorgeous city view you can ever imagine.

Quaid-e-Azam tourist lodge

Quaid-e-Azam tourist lodge is also known as Quaid-e-Azam Memorial Rest House. Its names after the first Pakistani Governor-General Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and his sister Fatima Jinnah stayed here in 1944. The Dak Bungalow is its old name, placed along the banks of Jhelum River, 37 km from Muzaffarabad. It’s a very popular tourist attraction located at Kohala Muzaffarabad. It’s 3 km from Kohala Bridge which is the entry point to Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK).

The chair of Quaid is still preserved can be seen in the lodge. People get very emotional when they come here because of Quaid-e-Azam, the founder of Pakistan. It was also damaged during the earthquake in 2005 but the AJK Tourism Department has restored the structure. It is beautifully made of stones and pinewood that’s very well maintained. A small children’s park has been built just below the lodge. It will always be remembered for the honour of Quaid-e-Azam bestowed on him. Rooms can be booked by the Tourism Department of AJK.

The Neelum River flowing along the banks of this restaurant offers a wonderful view. Here you will find traditional Kashmiri food that’s why a large number of tourists come here. Made between flowing rivers, trees, and mountains, this hotel is a great attraction for tourists.
