Kalam Valley | The Jewel of Nature

Kalam Forest or Ushu Forest
Kalam forest or Ushu forest is the unique and most stunning place of Kalam. This place you may have just seen in TV dramas or pictures because many commercials and dramas are also recorded here. This is the first stop for tourists who visit Kalam and pass through here to other places. The forest is located 8 km from Kalam.
It is the largest pine forest in Pakistan, spread over an area of 2 km. The wood of pine is very expensive and known to be used in making furniture. It’s a good scent you can smell in the atmosphere over here. Visiting Ushu Forest in winter is a unique sight to behold. Boyun Valley

The Green top is surrounded by mountains and thick pine forest. On the backside of Boyun a famous mountain which has seven peaks called seven sister mountains also seen here. The top of the mountains is covered with snow all year round. Ushu River and Ushu Forest are very attractive from here.
Matiltan Waterfall
The journey to Matiltan from Ushu by road along with the Swat River is mind blowing. It is a scenic spot that comes after Ushu forest located approximately 15 km from Kalam. The tallest Falak Sar Mountain also can be seen from here. It’s a gigantic waterfall and the water splash is enormous. People must stop here to see this beautiful scene.
Mahodand Lake
Mahodand Lake is one of the most visited places in Kalam. The high mountains all around, the lush green field in the middle, and the river flowing with it, offering a very spectacular view.
