History of Islamabad

Islamabad is the first planned city of Pakistan where you find well-built infrastructure. It was designed by Greek architect Constantinos Apostolou Doxiadis and divides the city into eight zones.  The city was constructed in 1960 with the order of General Ayyub Khan (former President of Pakistan), who choose this site for the capital of Pakistan in 1958. In 1964, Islamabad was honored to be the Capital of Pakistan. Before that Karachi was the capital. After that, people from all over the country have turned to it.
