Khaplu palace
Khaplu Palace is locally known as Yabgo Khar (the Fort on the Roof), because it is at an elevation of 8,500 ft above sea level. Khaplu Palace is located in Khaplu, Ghanche District Gilgit-Baltistan. It was built in the mid of the 19th century by the Yabgo Raja Daulat Ali Khan of Khaplu. The fort is to be resorted by Aga Khan Foundation and then converted into a heritage hotel managed by Serena Hotels.
Khaplu Palace won UNESCO’s Award of Distinction for Cultural Heritage Conservation in 2013. The structure of the palace is similar to Kashmiri and Tibetan architecture. It is considered an architectural heritage and a tourist attraction.

Hushe Valley
A beautiful Hushe Valley is known as one of the highest mountains in Pakistan, located in the Khaplu District of Gilgit-Baltistan. Chaqchan Mosque
Chaqchan Mosque is one of the most famous landmarks and a major tourist attraction in Khaplu, Gilgit-Baltistan. It is one of the oldest mosques built by Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani in 1370 (A.D). It is said that this mosque was the Buddhist worship place, some 700 hundred years ago. Later, it turned into Mosque after the region’s populace converted from Buddhism to Islam.
Chaqchan Mosque meaning “The Miraculous Mosque”. The architecture of the mosque is very beautiful and unique, a perfect combination of Tibetan, and Mughal styles of architecture. The Chaqchan mosque has been listed as a Pakistan Heritage Site by the Government of Pakistan.

Siachen Glacier
Siachen Glacier is the highest tourist attraction located in the eastern Karakorum Range in the Himalayas, along with disputed India-Pakistan border. It is at an elevation of 5,400 meters above sea level. In the local Balti language, Sia means rose and Chen means any object found in abundance. Thus the Siachen refers to land with an abundance of roses.
Thousands of tourists visit Khaplu to see Siachen Glacier. It is the second-longest glacier, stretching to a length of 76 kilometers in non-Polar Regions. Siachen Glacier is also the highest battlefield in the world. The weather of Siachen is very icy-cold usually the temperature can fall to −50 °C (−122 °F) Including all tributary glaciers.
