Naran Kaghan Valleys are full of beauty and attractions so this is so difficult to make a list of some places to visit in Naran Kaghan. We have tried to make a list of top destinations to visit in Naran Kaghan.  The Renowned attractions are Kiwai, Shogran, Siri Paye, Sharan Forest, Naran Bazar, Rafting at Kunhar River, Lake Saif-ul-Malook, Lalazar Meadows, Lulusar Lake, Malika Parbat Babusar Top, and Ansoo Lake. Kiwai picnic point

Kiwai is the first stop on your Naran Kaghan tour and is less than an hour’s drive from Balakot and a distance of only 23 km. You will always remember the water-soaked chairs and hot food here. It is a gateway of Shogran, Siri Paye, and Sharan Forest. This is a busy picnic spot. The most famous thing is the waterfall hotel (Abshar cafe) that is built on the way to the waterfall, you can enjoy the food by stepping in the cool water. There are also hotels for overnight stays.

Everything you need can be found here. This picnic point is surrounded by lush green trees. People feel great and pleasant here. The jeeps are available here to go for Shogran, Siri Paye, and Sharan Forest. The beauty of this place is out of this world.

Shogran Hill Station

Above Kiwai, the path of Shogran begins, it’s a beautiful hill station of Kaghan Valley. It is located at 34 km from Balakot, at a height of 2,362 meters (7,749 ft) above sea level. Shogran is a place that will always stay in your mind. It’s famous for pine forest, lush greenery, and enchanting views.

There are many resorts to accommodate tourists. People like to spend the night in this magical place. As you see this beauty all your fatigue goes away. Forest rest house is a very famous resort here. Here you meet everywhere with mountains, green plains and beautiful scenes which make you refresh and take you to another world. It became a favourite place for tourists.

Shogran is very close to Kiwai only 7 km. Malika Parbat, Mussa ka Mussalla, and Makra peaks are the highest peaks of Kaghan Valley which are visible from Shogran. From here you can see these incredibly beautiful places. Jeeps are available to go to nearby tourist destinations.

Siri Paye meadows

Siri Paye is just like a green carpet everywhere and it’s accessible through Shogran by jeep. It’s a worth seeing place, you must see during your visit to Shogran. It is 3,058 m (10,032 ft) above sea level and only 7 km from Shogran, never miss this adventures journey. It’s one of the favourite tourists destinations in summer. The surrounding mountains and the beautiful scenery will make the heart rejoice.

You must visit Siri Lake on your visit to Siri Paye. The weather and scenery here are its hallmarks. There are many restaurants and tent villages in Siri Paye. Forget the fatigue of the journey by seeing the scene, there is a feeling of silence and relief. You will find greenery everywhere, it gives a mesmerizing view of snowy mountains that are covered under the clouds.

Sharan Forest

From Kiwai you can also go to Sharan Forest. A little further from Kiwai is Paris. From there you can take a jeep to Sharan Forest that is 16 km away. The zig-zag road has its fun. If you want to see the jungle, you must camp there and spend at least one day. There are also huts for tourists and you can book them online.

Sharan Forest is the densest forest in Pakistan, located at 7872 feet above sea level. The sounds of birds, falling water, the rustling of the wind create a new taste. You can also hike from here to Manshi top.

Naran Bazar

Naran Bazar is equipped with modern facilities and there are various quality hotels for tourists accommodation. The market is full of hotels, restaurants, shops, and food stalls which is not less than Murree.  It’s a good place for shopping, eating, and hangout.

A variety of items reflecting the area are also sold here. Whenever you go out at night, you will see prosperity here. Its nightlife is also worth seeing. The trout fish here is very famous you must try that in your Naran tour.

River Rafting in Khunhar River

River Rafting has its taste. Many rafting points in the Kunhar River offer river rafting sports activities. An instructor will lead and guide you throughout your ride. The spray of cold water with a cold breeze makes it funnier and you get refreshed. It will be a great experience to be enjoyed. Amazing activity for adventure lovers. Saif ul Malook Lake

When we visit Naran Valley the first place that comes to our mind is Saif ul Malook Lake. It’s located at 8 km from Naran Bazar and 10,578 ft above sea level. Saif-ul-Malook is considered the fifth-best tourist place in Pakistan. The beauty of the Lake is so perfect that sometimes feels deceptive. You feel like sitting in fairyland.

It is surrounded by Mountains just like they guarded. Such an amazing combination of blue water, green plain, and grey mountains just like painting. Here you will find many restaurants, shops and things you need. Boating and camping make your tour more wonderful. You can easily reach there by hiring a jeep from Naran. There are many famous stories and myths about this lake.

Lalazar meadows

Lalazar is 15 km away from Naran in the Batakundi village of Kaghan Valley. It’s known as the valley of blooming flowers. Lalazar meadows is one of the most beautiful attractions in Naran Kaghan Valley, located at 10, 246 ft (3123 m) above sea level. Spring season is the best time to visit Lalazar meadows. The long trees, colourful flowers, and green grass make this place most delightful.

Its landscape is so amazing. As you move forward you get to see a new scene. One side of this place is a deep valley while on the other side is a beautiful view of hills. You can also see Falak Sar Mountain from here. Take photographs in the valley of colours. It is close to Babusar pass.

Lulusar Lake

Lulusar Lake is one of the momentous lakes of Pakistan located in Kaghan Valley. It’s the primary water source of the River Kunhar. Crystal clear water, fresh breeze, and green meadows make the lake most beautiful. The lake is situated in the national park of Lulusar Dudipatsar and beautiful wildlife like black bears, hawks, marmots, and foxes, etc. can be seen.

On the way, you will pass through some amazing waterfalls and glaciers. Due to its highest mountain peaks, it’s one of the popular tourist destinations in Pakistan. It is located at 3,410 m (11,190 ft) above sea level with approximately 50 km away from Naran valley. Lulusar Lake is one of the largest lakes in the Kaghan Valley.

Malika Parbat

Malika Parbat is the highest mountain of Kaghan Valley. It’s only 6 km from Saif ul Malook Lake also visible from here. Malika Parbat means the Queen of mountains. Queen due to its entire beauty and height.  The peak is covered with clouds and snow throughout the year. It is so dangerous and technical peak so challenging task to climb Malika Parbat. Only twelve climbers have reached Malika Parbat until now.

Babusar Pass

Babusar Pass is also known as Babusar top. The pass connects the Kyber Pakhtunkhwa with Gilgit Baltistan. Babusar Pass is situated at an altitude of 4,173 m (13,700 ft) above sea level. Moreover, this is 70 km from Naran and the last point of the Valley.

From the top of the pass, you can see the panoramic views of the snowy peaks. Due to being high, the area is very cold and always falls in the clouds.

Ansoo Lake

Its name Ansoo means teardrop, the shape of the lake looks like a tear. It’s considered one of the highest lakes in Pakistan. Due to its high altitude, the lake becomes frozen in winter so summer is the best time to see the lake. Ansoo Lake is located at an altitude of 13,927 feet above sea level in the Himalayas range, near Malika Parbat. The lake is discovered by the Pakistan air force pilot in 1993.

There are two ways to reach Ansoo Lake, one is the Saif ul Malook Lake route which is a 7 to 8 hours walking trek, and the other one is from village Mahandri that is located in the south Naran which is about 25 miles. You can take a jeep from Mahandri Bazaar to village Manoor, Then about 7 hours trekking green meadows called Dher comes. Then finally you can reach Ansoo Lake.
